Unlike mammoths and modern elephants, which had flat, ridged teeth for grinding grasses, mastodons had cone-like cusps on their molar teeth, which led to the animal’s common name, suggesting a diet of leaves and twigs! Like all prehistoric creatures made for the PaleoVentures lines, this creature is brought to life in a cute and simplified appearance.
