Although it looked like a swordfish, recent research shows that Protosphyraena is not at all related to swordfish, but belonged to the extinct family Pachycormidae which also included the massive filter-feeding fish Leedsichthys! Like all prehistoric creatures made for the PaleoVentures lines, this creature is brought to life in a cute and simplified appearance.
