PaleoVentures presents the Adzebill (Aptornis) as figure number 072 of its Ceno Series!
The beak of this flightless bird from New Zealand is massive, pointed and down-curved, resembling a woodworking tool called an adze (which the bird is named after), which it used for digging out prey like lizards, insects, and possibly roots! Like all prehistoric creatures made for the PaleoVentures lines, this creature is brought to life in a cute and simplified appearance.
