The characteristic armour plating of placoderms like Bothriolepis was made up of three layers: a compact basal bony layer, a middle spongy bony layer and an outer layer! Like all prehistoric creatures made for the PaleoVentures lines, this creature is brought to life in a cute and simplified appearance.
